Here are the key findings from Tjekvik’s 2024 global usage data. Insight into digital self-service adoption in the UK is available here.

Digital self-service adoption is driven by convenience

Self-service solutions offer customers the flexibility to check in and out their vehicles using their own devices at home or through in-dealership touchscreen kiosks.

Digital self-service enables customers to provide repair instructions, select added-value items, provide authorization, and drop off their keys on their own schedule, without having to wait in line at the dealership.

Last year, 2,697,149 million customers checked in from home, showing a 51% increase over 2023.

Another 1.1 million customers used Tjekvik’s touchscreen kiosks at the dealership to check in their vehicles – 32% more than in 2023.

When it comes to digital check-out, over 243,000 customers used Tjekvik’s when collecting their vehicles, a 49% increase over 2023.

Enhancing convenience with 24/7 self-service

Tjekvik’s outdoor kiosk, which enables a seamless check-in and check-out experience outside of dealerships’ traditional working hours, also saw an uptake in usage in 2024.

Designed for security and all-weather durability, the outdoor kiosk enhances flexibility and convenience for both customers and dealers, enabling them to expand their service and assist more customers.

Drive revenue growth with new upselling opportunities

According to a Tjekvik survey conducted last year, 72% of aftersales customers are interested in learning about relevant value-added products and services when they check in their vehicle for service.

Tjekvik makes it easy to upsell specific products and services, giving customers the freedom to choose away from the pressure of the service reception.

In 2024, dealerships globally generated €17,387,692 in added-value sales.
