Tjekvik integrates its self check-in service with My BMW/MINI App

Dealership software provider, Tjekvik, has rolled out the integration of its self-service check-in and check-out function with the My BMWapp.

The technology allows BMW service customers to receive their booking notification in the My BMW app and use it to check in remotely online, add extra items to their booking, answer dealer set questions and then be notified when their car is ready for collection.

Customers can then use the Tjekvik software to simply drop their car key at a secure kiosk at the BMW Centre, reducing waiting at peak morning drop-off times and minimising pressure on dealer staff.

Tjekvik CEO and co-founder, Christian Mark, said: “Our technology is all about streamlining the check-in and check-out process for everyone. As well as dealer customers, importantly, the process frees up time for dealer staff to carry out tasks that, traditionally, fall down the priority list during busy periods of the day.

“The integration means that BMW owners receive the notification in the My BMW app, improving communication with customers, delivering more confidence and, at the same time, enhancing the functionality of the app.”

BMW Centre customers are guided through the check-in process by the Tjekvik software, which seamlessly includes the choice to select added value items such as wiper blade replacement and winter healthcare checks. Once the check-in is complete, a notification is sent to confirm the safe receipt of the customers keys.

As an additional feature, the customer can choose a self-service check out. A notification including a unique pin code is sent to the My BMW app when their car is ready to be collected and they can pick up their keys from the same secure terminal. This provides even more convenience to the customer and can extend the service department operational hours to match those of the showroom.

The My BMW app is used by owners across the UK and theTjekvik system has already been used by more than 400,000 customers this year. The integration with the app is expected to provide even greater convenience forBMW customers across the world.
