  • The appointment marks the next stage in the company’s growth plan, set out by majority stakeholder Standout Capital.

[COPENHAGEN, DENMARK, September 2, 2026] – Tjekvik, whose self-service technology enables vehicle check-in and check-out at more than 2,300 franchised dealer sites across more than 30 countries, has appointed Martin Nørgaard Høgh as Chief Executive Officer.

Martin Høgh joined Tjekvik as Chief Revenue Officer in November 2025 from the car telematics company Connected Cars, as part of the growth plan set out in January 2025 when Standout Capital acquired a majority stake in Tjekvik.

His appointment as CEO takes that plan into its next phase: continue to grow the self-service core while building around it the leading SaaS platform for automotive aftersales.

Co-founder Christian Mark steps down as CEO after leading Tjekvik from its beginnings as a two-people start-up in Copenhagen in 2016 to a global team of more than 60, serving dealers in more than 30 countries and 30+ languages. He will remain on the Tjekvik board and become Director of Tjekvik Ventures, the group’s new-venture arm, where he will focus on developing the next generation of aftersales products.

Consolidation and OEM requirements are raising the bar in aftersales

Aftersales is where franchised dealers generate most of their profit, yet it remains one of the least software-enabled parts of the business. As dealer groups continue to consolidate needing to manage dozens of sites across several franchises, they need consistent, standardised processes that work across their networks. At the same time, OEMs are steadily raising the bar for their networks on customer experience, transparency and reporting.

From one moment to the whole journey

Today, Tjekvik’s products cover the key moments in a service visit when the customer hands over and then collects their vehicle – whether at the dealership or through outdoor locations available 24/7.

Under Martin Høgh, Tjekvik will expand beyond these two moments to cover the full-service journey through:

  • Targeted upselling – presenting the right additional work to the right customer at the right time, based on the vehicle and its history rather than a generic list of add-ons.

  • Workshop efficiency – reducing the administrative load on service advisors and technicians so more capacity can be directed towards billable work.

  • Unified workflows across the group – creating one consistent aftersales process and one set of performance data across every site and franchise a group operates.

  • Intelligent service layer – using AI across kiosks and home check-in to make the service journey more intelligent and personalised, alongside an open API that enables dealers to connect Tjekvik with the systems they already use.

All four build directions on the same foundation: a complete record of what happened at every visit, giving dealers a clear, vehicle-specific history to inform what they offer next rather than relying on guesswork.

Further product announcements will follow later this year.

Self-service adoption continues to grow

During the first half of 2026, Tjekvik processed more than 3 million self-service interactions globally, up by around 25% on the same period last year. At dealer sites where customers were offered the choice, more than 40% checked their vehicle in online before arriving, and close to one in five used a Tjekvik kiosk in the showroom rather than waiting to see a service advisor.

Åke Stråberg, Chairman of the Board of Tjekvik, said:

“What Christian and the team have built over the past ten years is remarkable: a strong platform, a clear purpose, and a wide runway of opportunities. We’re excited to see Tjekvik continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in this industry under Martin’s leadership and vision.”

Tjekvik Co-founder Christian Mark added:

I started this company because I could not accept that a queue at the service desk was the best a customer could expect on a Monday morning. I had seen too many of my colleagues dealing with unnecessary pressure during peak periods, while customers were left waiting for a process that could be much simpler.

Ten years on, millions of those visits run through our software. Stepping out of the CEO role is not a step away from Tjekvik – it is how the company keeps moving. Martin has the commercial instinct and the discipline to take us from a strong product to a genuine platform, and I get to spend my time on what I enjoy most, which is building the next big thing.”

Martin Nørgaard Høgh, CEO, Tjekvik:

ur ambition is straightforward: to be the leading SaaS company in automotive aftersales, with products and services a dealer uses right across the customer journey – targeted upselling, a workshop that runs to time, and one way of working across an entire group.

With consolidation accelerating and OEMs asking more of their networks every year, that has stopped being a nice-to-have. We have more than 2,300 dealer sites, millions of visits a year and a team of more than 60 people who know this business; my job is to turn that into the digital team that runs aftersales for them.
